Available to qualified Domestic Energy Assessors, this Green Deal advisor course is suitable for potential Green Deal advisors wishing to offer Domestic Green Deal assessments and create Domestic Green Deal plans. This green deal advisor training course is only applicable to current DEA’s who must have attended the DEA CPD update course or qualified on a DEA course which contains the DEA CPD update.

The course will ensure that all the required elements to achieve the Green Deal Advisor accreditation are covered in detail. This includes all relevant Green Deal Advisor exams and assessments and will also include two external property surveys. On completion, the successful attendees would become a City and Guilds 6066, level 3 certificate, accredited Domestic Green Deal Advisor. The major highlight of this Green Deal Advisor course is that all the training, exams and assessments are carried out in a consecutive 6 day period, no corners are cut and the full Green Deal Advisor accreditation is achieved by the successful candidates.

Green Deal Advisors / Assessors will create Green Deal Plans. To do this the Green Deal Advisor will be required to visit properties and assess their suitability for Green Deal energy efficiency Measures. The outcomes will then be formulated into a Green Deal Plan which will suggest energy efficiency improvements to the property. The Green Deal Advisor will then be required to explain the Green Deal finance options.

- The Green Deal Advisor will learn the ability to present accurate green deal information to customers on the principles, financing and operation of the Green Deal.
- The Green Deal Advisor will become competent to offer green deal advice after undertaking a detailed property assessment.

As part of the course Green Deal Advisor candidates are required to create a Green Deal plan. To create the Green Deal plan the Green Deal advisor candidate must complete two onsite Green Deal assessments. This involves visiting 2 suitable properties, performing an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) then formulating a Green Deal Plan using approved specialist Green Deal software.
